Cooking School: Mediterranean Gastronomy: Italy

*CANCELLED DUE TO COVID*

Your quest for specialty or exotic cooking will be richly rewarded with hands-on instruction, demonstrations and dégustations during themed classes that will usually conclude with a three-course meal.

Mediterranean Gastronomy

Unlike other cuisines that are specific to an ethnic group, a country or a culture, Mediterranean Gastronomy refers to cooking trends shared by a large group of people whose common links are living around the Mediterranean Sea and sharing many of the same ingredients in their kitchens. Through conquest, cultural interaction and adaptation, olives and olive oil, red wine, fresh vegetables and herbs all are featured in the recipes of the Mediterranean’s three culinary regions: Eastern Mediterranean, Southern Europe, and North Africa.

This Session: Italy

We’ll travel through the delicious landscape of Italian cuisine, preparing some of the delicious regional staples that the country is famous for.

Lunch and morning coffee break included.

Minimum of 4, maximum of 6 participants.
